Logo for the National Drawing Triennial

Since Tegnerforbundet started producing the Tegnebiennale in 2002, the biennale has been in flux - changing organisational form and location each time. In 2016, the Drawing Biennale was transformed into a Drawing Triennial and I was hired to create a new logo reflecting the changing perspective on drawing as an art form as well as promote a durability and resilience in shape and form.

I developed a simple logo and colour scheme. The logo is reflecting a close connection with its ‘mother’ Tegnerforbundet. The Tegnerforbundet logo and font Eyvind (both created by designer Ariane Spanier) was used as a framework to underline the family relation. The three strokes and the big T in the center creates a subtle intuitive interpretation of the Drawing Triennale, both as a triennial event and drawing as a theme.
